Moving Moment Productions
About Us
Kerra Penn, Co-founder, Producer, Director, Writer

Kerra Penn was a film major at Pennsylvania State University.
After a stint as an on-air radio personality, her career in
producing began when she met the owner of a production
company in Asia. He was starting the first music video show
in Malaysia. Apparently, her film and music background was
just what he was looking for.The task of getting this show on
the air two weeks after she was hired was a challenge to say
the least. There was no cast, no crew ,no studio and much to
her chagrin, she discovered that the country’s top-selling artists
did not have music videos because they had never needed
them before this show. So Kerra and the other producers
scrambled to shoot live performances of these acts so that
they had “videos” to be played on the show. Miraculously
they managed to get the show on air on time. This highly
successful show launched a music video industry for the
country. In addition to writing all of the show's scripts, Kerra
cast and directed the host who went on to win “Best Host in
Asia” at the Asian Television Awards (Asian Emmys) for his
work on this show.

After a stint working on the CBS drama "Early Edition," she
worked as a producer, writer and host of the local Chicago
program, "Your Chicago Show." In addition to her production
experience Kerra has over ten years of professional writing
experience and a strong marketing and sales background.
The fact that Kerra was the top sales person in the nation for
a publicly traded company for two years before starting
Moving Moment Productions speaks to her ability to get
across a strong sales and marketing message for MMP’s
corporate clients.
Pat Ulie, Co-founder, Producer, Director, Editor

Pat Ulie is a seasoned video producer with years of
experience as a director, cameraman, editor, writer,
and graphics specialist. In addition to graduating from
Loyola University with a degree in Film/TVProduction,
he earned a certificate from Oakton Community College
for Animation/Multimedia. He has used his skills and
talent to create numerous independent films. In addition,
he graduated from the Second City Training Center
where he wrote and acted in many well-received comedy
shows and was the co-founder of a comedy group that
performed for both public and corporate events.

One film that he produced, wrote and directed for the
annual AFI/Sony Visions Video Contest prompted the
creation of a new category for comedy shorts. Another
comedy film was featured on WTTW's Image Union
25-Year Anniversary Special. Most recently, in 2007,
Pat was a nominated for, “Outstanding Achievement for
an Entertainment Series” by the Midwest Chapter of the
National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for
work he did on the 10th anniversary special of the local
cable program, “Your Chicago Show.”
Moving Moment Productions was formed when co-owners Kerra Penn and Pat Ulie noticed there was a hole in
the Chicago Video Production Industry. Those looking to have a video produced had only two choices. Choose
a high-end production house or an affordable "wedding style" videographer. The result: an overpriced
high-quality video or a "cheaply priced"/"cheap looking" end product. . By combining their talents with low
overhead Pat Ulie and Kerra Penn offer clients a third and more desirable solution.

They believe that with today's technology and a lot of talent - a profesionally produced video does not need
to break the bank. That is why Moving Moment Productions has earned the respect of many of the Midwest's
highest profile Corporations, Non-profits and Universities.

Every project that we work on is approached with the utmost professionalism, creative ingenuity and most
importantly... a lot of heart.
